What Are Food Replicas Used For?

Food replicas are used for nutrition education.

Their primary function is to assist clinicians to educate clients on ideal portions. Dietitians, nutritionists and other health professionals or educators use these realistic, tangible models to provide an accurate visual representation of appropriate serving sizes. This provides clients with the unique opportunity to obtain a true understanding of what the item will look like on their plate, compared to simply using a description or photograph.
