This model is made for operations of the carpal tunnel. The hand is mounted in a stand to allow access to the wrist to practice all aspects of carpal tunnel operation: incision, dissection of the retinaculum and treatment of the underlying ligaments, nerves, and vessels.
The wrist is covered with a removable square of flesh, below which are located the flexor tendons, the ulnar artery (in red) and the ulnar nerve (in grey), as well the median nerve (en yellow) compressed by the retinaculum
- This model is made for operations of the carpal tunnel, including the incision of the approach and the section of the retinaculum, in realistic conditions, especially with regards to the physical sensations.
